Review : So not hot for Haute as Hello by Essie

I finally got my hands on the ever elusive "Haute as Hello" by Essie :) Unlike some places Essie isn't readily available here in the Philippines. If you do find it in a store, it is really expensive! Luckily I have been buying my essie polishes as well as others (OPI, Zoya and Picture Polish) from polishplease.ph which sells them at a very reasonable price. :) my wallet and I have stopped speaking to each other because of this store... Lol
I definitely have a love/hate relationship with Essie... I love the colors but generally hate the formula... :( I really love the color of this one but their are cons to this polish you need to consider before buying
Now for my review on this polish:
Streaky on the first coat. I highly recommend two to three coats Ladies! Correction.. It's a three coater.

(1 coat)

When it dries it has a semi-matte finish. It isn't a true matte because it still has a shine to it. Beautiful color! I think this would go with any skin tone. Definitely perfect for the summer season.

(No top Coat... For my accent nail I used "Metallic Mush by Picture Polish)

Looks very pretty outdoors as well. What can I say the color just Pops!!! One really annoying thing though is when you put a top coat over it (I used Zoya's Armor top coat) the color changed! It seemed like it oxidized. :(

(Left is the one without a top coat and the right is the one with topcoat)

Final verdict if you know of a dupe get that one instead. As much as I love the color I really hate how it oxidizes... :( I give this polish a 2.75/5 . just because the color is So Pretty!

Swatches :Couture de Minnie Collection by OPI

When I heard that OPI was coming out with another Minnie Mouse Collection I knew that I just had to check it out myself :)
Man am I happy I did! I wanted to get my hands on the whole collection but that would make my wallet really depressed! (On a count of I already bought too many polishes this month :P )

I ended up only purchasing two :)
("Innie Minnie Might Bow" and "Minnie Style")

The first one is "Innie Minnie Mighty Bow". Which Is this beautiful perfect red shade. It isn't too orange like other red polishes. It isn't too dark either :) this will definitely be a staple in my collection (I don't know what I'd do if they decide to discontinue this shade! ) You can definitely get away with only 1 coat of this but I always put two coats :)
(

The next one I got was "Minnie Style". It is a white and fusha glitter in a clear base. I didn't have anything in my collection that was similar so I just had to get it! I don't really like the name of this shade. I think they could have been more creative but in terms of application I had no problems.

("Minnie Style" on top of "Innie Minnie Mighty Bow")

Here's a look I creates using these polishes:
(I also used Miranda from Zoya and just a white polish)

If you're from the Philippines and you are wondering I buy my polishes at www.polishplease.ph :) check the site out! It's one of my favorite places to shop!

Micheal Todd cleanser and Toner

Last month I placed an order for the raved about Micheal Todd charcoal detox deep pore gel cleanser & blue green algae antibacterial toner to find out myself what the hype was all about :)

It was bubble wrapped and the toner was sealed but the cleanser wasn't :( and sadly this is how it looked like

I wish they packaged it better :( sealed it with tape even should have been better especially since it is a pump... So much product wasted. This isn't cheap either the cleanser is $24.00 and the toner is $18.00

There is a discount right now so I roughly got 7 dollars of my whole order but I want to make the most of my purchase and having some of the product wasted due to poor packaging kinda sucks....

Now for the products itself.

My First Impression:
Smells really good! :) doesn't smell like chemicals as much as other brands do.

When I tried it out the first time felt really good on the skin. No adverse reactions so far.

Will post a more detailed review in two weeks to see if these products made any difference on my skin :)

-Just some of my thoughts :) take care and have an awesome day ahead!

Mac Lipstick : Up the Amp (Amplified)

My favorite lipstick at the moment is Mac's "Up the Amp" . It looks intimidating at first but once you put it on it just pops! Compliments my skin color perfectly.

( Up the Amp is a blue toned purple shade)

Since this lipstick is amplified it is very pigmented. I sometimes pair it with Nxy's lipgloss in nude pink to lighten the color to more of a pinkish tone. In terms of formula and wear I have no complaints. I am very impressed on how easy it is to apply and how long it lasts on my lips before I need to touch it up. I will definitely repurchase this lipstick once I run out of it! This is one of my top picks for colors this summer season because of how bright it is!

Nail look of the Week

I am really getting addicted to nail polish and my collection has significantly grown. I decided to share one of my signature #notd's with you all :)

I used several kinds of nail polish for this look :) Firstly, you're such a Budapest by OPI for my thumbs , index finger and pinkie. For the gold accent I used Beyond Cozy by Essie and for the dark periwinkle shade I used Can't let go by OPI as well. For the glitter accent I used a little bit of Majesty from Picture Polish paired with When Monkeys fly also by OPI :) you don't have to be an expert with nailart to do this look , Just combine different nail polish colors and you'll look like a pro! :D the key is to uses polishes that will compiment each other well. Another tip is just keep practicing. Trust your gutt the important thing is YOU like it. I've had people ask me why I wear different colors on my nails and I would say "coz I want to do it this way, it's my style :) "

The awesome thing about nail polish is that it is removable so anytime you make a mistake or you do not like what you did you can just take it off :P Don't be intimidated just have FUN! :D

Here's another look I did this week :) taking the same techniques I used with the first look

This one was simpler in a sense because I just used three kinds of polish and its more dainty :) (OPI in Kiss the Chic and When Monkeys Fly and Picture Polish in Majesty)

-Just some of my thoughts :) take care and have an awesome day ahead!
