The New Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Suede Lipstick (in backstage)

Ever since I watched the review and first impression video of "Itsjudytime" on YouTube I have been dying to get my hands on this lipstick! (Seriously, you girls have no idea... I've Been going to different department stores to look for this line but alas it hasn't reached here yet :( ) I was able to get my hands on one on multiply, through kitshop.multiply.com :) and I paid Php 350.00
I will confess I have never really tried revlon lipstick and this is literally my first revlon lipstick purchase. I have to say I'm impressed :)
Here are my initial thought on the product:
- I really like the packaging because it is compact and it isn't a hassle to put in your pocket or clutch :)
- I love love love the fact that it doesn't transfer :) Meaning once the lipstick dries you can be kissing someone and your lipstick won't get all over that person lol :P
- you will need make-up remover or wipes to remove the lipstick
- As much I would love to say that it stays on the whole day it doesn't :( you will need to re-apply at least once during the day..
-glides on smoothly and isn't drying on my lips
- there is a good selection of shades to choose from
Overall I give this lipstick a 4/5 :)

My thoughts on the shade "backstage"
OMG!!! I simply love it! When it comes to the color red I like my lipsticks sheer because its buildable :) it is definitely on the maroon side but it isn't too dark that you can only wear it during the night. I will surely wear this out during the day time as well. If you want a better idea on the color check out itsjudytime on YouTube :) she made a video on this exact shade :)

Nyx Black Label Lipstick First Impression :)

First ever make-up blog!!! :P Who would have thought?! Definitely not me! Lol
So I've really been wanting to try out the Nyx black label lipstick line and frankly it's way to expensive here in the Philippines compared to purchasing it in the U.S.
I was looking for swatch videos on YouTube when I came across Shaaanaxo's swatch video of a whole lot of different blacklabel lipsticks. She said she bought it off of this site called cherryculture.com
I thought that I should give it a try so last month I went on the cherryculture site and bought 4 blacklabel lipsticks :) What was really cool was they were actually on sale! So I paid $30.00 for everything including shipping. That's Php 307.00 per lipstick instead of paying 500++ per lipstick here. (If you can find it that is)
Granted it does take awhile for your Order to arrive (a month more or less) but that was fine with me :) It was also due to the fact I got the cheapest form of shipping lol :P
So I got chakra, India, strawberry shortcake and Cherry :)

My thoughts on the lipstick itself:
Firstly, they smell really good :) my favorite scent is India (they all have different scents). Next, I really like the consistency of the lipstick. Glides on smoothly and it isn't drying on your lips. The swatches they have online isn't that accurate so your kinda going blind (sometimes you can't tell if it is frosted or not). If you aren't in to frosted lipstick you might have a problem. There is a huge variety of shades. Which can be a pro or a con depending on how you look at it. I like the fact that Cherry in particular is fairly sheer because its buildable on your lips. It isn't a intimidating red lipstick for those who are just starting to experiment on the color red. If you have tried the round lipsticks of Nyx this is a level up definitely! :) I give the black label lipsticks a 4 1/2 out of 5 :)
Packaging:
I do like the packaging but it is kind of bulky. Also It doesn't fit into my lipstick tray. Other than that I do like how it looks chic and girly with the Lacey pattern on the edges of the lipstick cover. My favorite part if the packaging is that you can see the lipstick color without having to remove the lid just like the round lipstick line so with that I give the packaging 3 1/2 /5 stars
