I want to start of by saying that I am only sharing my personal experiences about purchasing products online. It is always good to do your own research before buying anything.
I decided to write about this on my blog because I have been receiving questions like Where did you buy your indi polishes? How much is shipping? How about custom fees and alike. I do not pretend to be an expert on shopping online but I will admit that I do prefer shopping online just because it is less of a hassle.
This post I for my fellow Filipinos who are curious about shopping online
First advice: DO YOUR RESEARCH!:)
Do not automatically trust what you are seeing online. Just because it says "authentic" doesn't mean it is. (Especially when buying from EBay) Look at reviews on the site. Good and bad reviews give you an idea on how the service is. If the products they sell are any good etc.
RESEARCH RESEARCH RESEARCH!
DO NOT BUY ALOT/REALLY EXPENSIVE PRODUCTS THE FIRST TIME:
If it is your first time shopping at a particular online store, Buy an item or two not something really expensive. This way you get to have a "trial run". You can assess their customer service and how fast delivery time is and if it actually gets to you. At least if anything goes wrong it won't hurt the bank so much.
SHIPPING: LEARN TO BE PATIENT :)
I live in the Philippines. Shipping international items here can get tricky. First, shipping can get expensive. Second, custom fees can get REALLY expensive. My trick: get the cheapest mode of shipping!!! :) why: custom fees are minimal. You get a post card from your local post office telling you your package has arrived and to claim it would cost PHP50.00 . When getting a higher mode of shipping taxes will build up. Sometimes it's even more expensive then the price of the item you bought. So even if it take a month to get to you at Least your wallet won't be suffering a great deal. Sometimes online stores even offer free shipping. (This means "door to door" .)

New Nail Polish Rack and Storage
My nail polish collection exploded to a full blown addiction!
Problem:
How do I organize and store my nail polishes efficiently while not spending a whole lot of money
Answer:
BUILD ONE!
If you live in the Philippines like me then purchasing a nail polish rack online is kind of difficult not to mention VERY EXPENSIVE. :( From shipping fees and taxes you will have to pay for, it isn't very practical. I did some research and came across this blog post on a DIY: Wooden nail polish rack http://alexandria-allisblog.blogspot.com/2012/09/diy-nail-polish-rack.html
I wrote down the dimensions and asked the carpenter of my father to build it for me :) He did an amazing job! I tweaked it a little and added borders to the ledges just to prevent the polishes from falling down in an event of an earthquake (hey! Better safe then sorry! :P )
Pros of having a shelf made:
You can change up the dimensions, color, look... The possibilities are endless. I wanted to make sure that the rack would go well with my room.
Cons:
It does require wall space and if your walls a concrete like mine some drilling is required.
I installed the nail polish rack near my door and beside the door to the bathroom. It was the perfect place because it wouldn't be exposed to sunlight. (Which is a good thing because sunlight can speed up the deterioration of your nail polish)
I estimated and this rack could hold up to 160+ nail polishes. It really depends on the size of the bottles. (To give you an idea of the width of the nail polish rack imagine placing 21 bottles of essie nail polishes in a line. That is the width per row)
I have a feeling I will have another rack built soon. ;P
